Blogger or Blogspot is a google website where one can create and host a website free of cost. Blogger is rich with plenty of features and lets its users create a stunning website. A number of free templates are available which can be used for website building. However, if someone wants to use a custom template, then it can be done so easily. Following is the procedure on how to change a blogger website template.


  • Login to the blogger website using your Gmail account.
  • Select the "Theme" option on the left side of your website panel.
  • Look at the right side upper corner where you will find an option named "Backup/Restore". Click on it.
  • After clicking, a popup window will open.
  • In this popup window, you will find two options. i.e "Download theme" and "Choose File". If you want to save the currently active theme for future use, download theme or just ignore it. Click on the second option to upload your new template (XML file).
  •  When your new template gets uploaded, your website will be live with a completely new custom theme.
